Visual Attributes Overview

<< Previous: Navigation and Camera Controls

Next: Reference Frames >>

Visual attributes are geometric markers and guides relevant to the selected object that can be displayed using options in Blocks 2, 3, and 5 of the object context menu. Once displayed, some of these visual attributes can be right-clicked to use attribute-specific functions associated with them.

There are four classes of visual attributes:

Name
Description
Reference Frames
Reference Frames are ordered sets of three orthogonal unit-length direction vectors called frame axes and labeled X, Y, and Z.
Vectors
Vectors are line segments with an arrow tip on one end illustrating directions. Vector lengths, colors, and other attributes are picked automatically to achieve good visual appeal.
Trajectory
Objects’ trajectories are visualized as colored lines trailing, or trailing and leading the objects.
Other
Other visual attributes include guides that can be displayed on the object.
